So republicans got their asses handed to them. Yes, this is the democrat mandate that says the republican leadership has lead us the wrong way and now we are changing it. One thing that pisses me off is now that Bush has lost the mandate he said he received in 2004, he wants to extend an olive branch. Quiet honestly if I were a democrat in Congress I would shove the olive branch up his ass! He wouldn't work with us on any policy when he had control, so you can't be all buddy buddy now.

Amen. Of course as Emperor Bush holds an olive branch in one hand, with the other hand he is trying to plow his chronies through the last days of his party's dominion.
I know i for one was happy that the republicans are out of there.
